Nomathemba Dladla

PhD Cohort University of the Witwatersrand

Nomathemba N. E. Dladla is a WITS-TUB-UNILAG Urban Lab PhD Scholarship recipient at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa (2022 – 2025 cohort).

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban and Regional Planning in the School of Architecture and Planning (SOAP). Nomathemba is interested in inclusive urban planning, the development of peri-urban spaces and land accessibility within developing countries, especially in Eswatini.

Thesis: Leasehold Tenure as a Tool for Development of Urban Peripheries in Developing Countries: the Case of Mbabane, Eswatini.
