Jakub Galuszka

Project Coordinator (2016-2019) TU Berlin

Jakub Galuszka is a Senior Researcher at the Habitat Unit. His primary focus is on the co-production of services and urban governance across citizens and the public sector, formal/informal hybridity in housing sector, and mobility issues. He works across Europe, Africa and Asia. Jakub completed his PhD at the Habitat Unit, Technical University of Berlin, in 2019 and his post-doctorate at the University of Oxford and CRNS/LAVUE in Paris in 2021-2022. Jakub coordinated the Wits-TUB Urban Lab from 2016 until 2020. He is also co-supervising one of the project's PhD students. Beyond academia, he worked on an urban regeneration project in Łódź, Poland and violence prevention and urban upgrading in Cape Town, South Africa.
