Dr Tsepang Leuta

Tsepang Leuta has a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pretoria. Her research broadly sits within the disciplines of Geography, Planning and Culture, and brings the subjects of urban sustainability and resilience into conversation. The research explores the intersections of space, heritage and memory in relation to green open spaces. Tsepang’s research further studies the unusual role played by urban interment spaces, as ‘home’, spaces of opportunity, and ideal places to take refuge, without romanticizing them.
